Our
Programmes Health
ISARD
is working towards ensuring timely, effective and near-the-patient
healthcare services to the community. The project seeks
to tap available recourses to avail to the community to
prevent and reduce the incidence of diseases and morbidity
and mortality. Interventions are also aimed at instituting
measures for improved nutrition and mother and child care
systems. The programme is three fold in nature.
Primary Health Care
ISARD is providing the health services include
general health OPD, special camps, counseling centre,
Mother and child health including immunization services
to disadvantaged group through our clinical services in
programme area with emphasize to develop health-seeking
behavior of the community we serve through various health-care
promotion programmes. ISARD is conducting regular
health clinics among the community on Allopathic and Ayurvedic
medicine at Badarpur and Bindapur area.
Health Awareness
Camps
Health Camp is one such special initiative of ISARD
to provide health care services to meet the immediate
health care needs of the marginalized community in remote
rural areas and. curative, preventive, promotive and referral,
to a large number of people in selected intervention areas.
Apart from this we are organizing awareness camps on issues
like alcoholism, drug abuse, anemia, malnutrition,
TB and HIV & AIDS .Keeping in this view , ISARD
has taken up a number of programme covering the entire
continuum of needs of the vulnerable groups from HIV prevention
.The prevention programmes include the essential components
of behaviour change through BCC and interpersonal communication
session, peer led facilitation ,condom promotion and sending
people to right place/ health centre for clinical services
for treatment of RTI/STI.
Target Intervention
HIV/AIDS
ISARD has been running two T.I projects in collaboration
with Delhi State AIDS Control Society and Haryana State
AIDS Control Society under National AIDS Control organization.
T.I project which stands for targeted intervention project
has been working in different areas of Bindapur for female
sex workers to prevent HIV infection amongst them and
in Sirsa of Haryana among both Commercial Sex Workers
and Men having sex with providing services to 1000 HRGs
in Delhi and 600 in Haryana.
Objective
To focus our HIV transmission prevention efforts on the
highest-risk groups, namely commercial sex workers (CSWs)
and Men having sex with Men.

- Treatment of STDs
- Counseling for STDs/HIV/AIDS prevention
- Condom Promotion
- Awareness generation regarding STDs/HIV/AIDS through
Behavior Change Communication session i.e. One to
One and One to Group, Audio visual shows, Street Plays,
Panchayat Sensitization Programmes and various other
methods.
- Counseling for improving couple relationship
- Counseling on issues related with sex and sexuality.
- Medicine to STD clients.
- Peer Education
- Partner Management
- Referral network and linkages with drug demand
reduction programs, HIV testing, DOTS and various
other care & support services.
