22nd and 23rd March 2011.
The world water day was celebrated in different Slums of Delhi in collaboration with Development Alternative (DA) New Delhi. The major activities organized on that day were street plays (Road shows) and public announcements to create awareness among the dwellers assembled about the importance of safe drinking water and water born diseases such as diarrhea, jaundice stomach problem, skin disease etc. About 1000 people from different slums attended the programme. The event also made use the chance to make the dwellers aware about the low cost water purification through SODIS method.
